The game of blackjack can be easily learned. However, it takes time and practice to learn how to play blackjack. The aim of blackjack is to have two cards add up to a total of 21. Cards with a value of 2 to 9 are equivalent to their face value while ten and the face cards (J, K, Q) have a value of ten. Aces could be valued one or eleven depending on the situation at hand. The game objective is to get a total near 21 without exceeding.

In some of the games, the dealer is required to hit if the total of their cards are below 17. On a soft 17, they should hit as well. On the other hand, if the total of the cards exceeds 17, the dealer should stand. In the case of the player, they can stand on any hand they wish to stop.

The game commences with players making their bets based on the maximum limit of the table. Once the bets have been made, the players receive a couple of cards - one facing up and the other down. The cards are dealt sequentially, that is the card on top is of the deck is distributed first. The players then total their card and make a decision whether to hit or stand. If the dealer has a blackjack, the game ends and the dealer is declared winner. In case of a tie or push, the original bet stays. To get a blackjack, the player should have an ace or any card worth ten which sums up to 21 using two cards.

The easiest strategy in blackjack is to make the dealer bust and for the player to keep their hands playable. The only scenario where a bustable hand is hit is when the dealer has a card with a value more than seven. If the player has a hand totaling sixteen and twelve, they should hit especially if the dealer has a card with a value more than seven.

Likewise, if the hand of the dealer is busted, a player should not hit. The exception to the rule is if the total of the player's cards adds up to ten or eleven. The player should double their bet if the dealer has a break card. If the dealer's face up card can produce a winning hand, the decision of the player lies on their luck of the draw.

Clearly, there is much to be learned about blackjack. Novice players can find a lot of helpful online resources. They should delve on how to play blackjack and the rule variations.
